Evergreen Content
Have you ever had someone say “that’s evergreen content” or “evergreen content is good to have”? When you start creating content whether you are recording videos, writing blogs, posting on social media, or sending out newsletters there is something called evergreen content. Evergreen content means that the content you are creating will stay relevant and fresh whenever you choose to use it.
For example, you have content that is on services you offer or testimonials from clients formatted as blogs or social content, that is evergreen content because you can use this at all times of the year and it still will be relevant. Now creating content on your seasonal promotions or posting about holidays aren’t evergreen content, but is still important to create so people can get updated details on your business.
Some people may ask what is the perfect recipe on the amount of evergreen content you should have, and that is really up to the business owner. Some business owners like posting different seasonal items they have and less evergreen content, while a roofer may want to be posting a combination of evergreen and seasonal content throughout the year. Having evergreen content on hand is an easy way to stay present on social media during times you don’t have time to write about the current happenings of your business.
